The Camp Day

The camp day runs from 9:00am to 4:30pm . Younger campers (ages 6 and 7) spend at least one period per day in each of our five program areas. Older campers (ages 8 to 12) choose to focus in Sports, Creative Arts, or Environmental Science and typically spend three periods each day in that focus area. Older campers still participate daily in ROCK and Aquatics and at least twice per week in the areas they did not select as their focus area.

All campers come together in the morning for our camp opening ceremony, in the afternoon for awards, songs, and camp closing, and on Friday afternoons for an all-camp special event. Campers bring their own lunch and the Ponkapoag Outdoor Center provides a healthy afternoon snack.
