A Tradition of Excellence!
About north woods YMCA CAmp for boys
Located in Tuftonboro, New Hampshire, on the shores of Lake Winnipesaukee, our brother/sister camps bring together children ages 8 to 15 of all races, religions, nationalities, and socio-economic backgrounds. Campers partake in traditional, fun-filled summer activities, while at the same time learning about themselves, their environment and each other.
Generations of North Woodsmen have enjoyed traditional camp activities combined with the latest developments in programming. The enjoyment, friendships and excitement that come from camp are memories that last a lifetime.
North Woods is centered around the core values of YMCA Character Development: Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility. We strive to create an atmosphere where these values are reaffirmed daily. All campers are encouraged to take responsibility for thier own actions, respect one another, practice integrity, and care about the well-being of their fellow campers. Staff members are expected to model these characteristics as well.
